What you will do

You will contribute to the experimental integration and validation of optical technologies for space telescopes and advanced optical payloads.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setup and operation of optical test benches
• Optical alignment and laboratory integration
• Optical metrology and measurement campaigns
• Data acquisition and experimental data analysis
• Documentation of test results
• Support to prototype development and validation activities
• Collaboration with optical and optomechanical engineering teams
• Support to the preparation of R&D proposals, technical documentation, progress reports, and technical justification of funded projects.

What we are looking for

• MSc in Physics, Optical Engineering, Electronics or related STEM field
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation
• Experience with data acquisition
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to document technical results in a clear, rigorous and structured way.

Experience in optical metrology techniques, Python/Matlab for data analysis or laboratory automation will be highly valued.
